Introduction
The incumbent will Lead and direct the finance, procurement, risk management and legal operations of SANBS by ensuring the provision of appropriate and sustainable oversight and strategic leadership. To ensure the organisation's financial sustainability and ensure accurate recording and reporting. Provide strategic direction, management and leadership in the internal financial controls, accounting (Financial Reporting and Control), business support (Budgeting), Procurement, Strategic Finance (Reporting) and Asset management and controls of the company to ensure a healthy and sustainable financial position. Provide sound, complete and accurate financial management and reporting in accordance with relevant prescripts and to achieve sustainable financial health.

Minimum requirements

  • Education:CA (SA) or equivalent
Experience:
  • 8-10 years in Finance Management at an executive level in an organisation with a turnover of about R3 billion per annum. 
  • Minimum 5 years at CFO level. 
  • SAP Proficiency.
  • Dealing with the board of directors, Audit Committee and internal and external auditors is essential.
Other (Knowledge and Skills):
  • Relevant legislation and accounting Standards
  • Skills in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures and appropriate controls.
  • Knowledge of computerised information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications (SAP experience will be an advantage).
  • Ability to analyse and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections.
  • Knowledge of fiscal controls related to the safeguard of institutional funds and assets.
  • Knowledge of software to quantify and illustrate complex financial reports, comparisons, impacts and/or projections.
