The incumbent will be responsible to perform routine NAT testing, 2nd line testing and authorize release of test results in the NAT section of Donation Testing within strict turnaround times and assist the NAT Manager in their absence in dealing with staff related issues and handling complex technical functions.

Minimum requirements
Education
- HPCSA Registered Medical Technologist in Blood Transfusion
Experience and knowledge requirements
- 2 years Blood transfusion experience.
- Computer Literacy in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- 2 years NAT experience.
Other (knowledge and skills), e.g. understanding of relevant legislation; knowledge of relevant company procedures
- Standards of Practice for Blood Transfusion in SA.
- Relevant SANBS policies and procedures.
