Introduction
We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing facilities in accordance with SANBS and City Water standards.
Job description
Key Perfomance Areas
Performs the Installation, Repair and Maintenance of Plumbing Facilities According to SANBS and City Water Standards.
1.1. Consult with General Supervisor Maintenance to determine which.
1.2. Jobs need to be undertaken according to SAP planned maintenance schedule.
1.3.Note areas needing plumbing related repairs and report to Supervisor.
1.4.Order materials required for a particular job.
1.5.Ensure that all plumbing works according to the highest standards.
1.6.Arrange and schedule staff to carryout preparations for plumbing works.
1.7.Personally, carryout plumbing works as necessary.
1.8.Travel to Zone Sites and/or Branches to perform plumbing related works.
KPA 2: Undertakes General Plumbing Maintenance Tasks.
2.1.Carryout maintenance of the borehole water purification / other similar systems (e.g. irrigation system).
2.2.Maintain the water softeners for the laboratories.
2.3.Carryout all minor plumbing repairs (e.g. Changing tap washes; toilet cisterns.
2.4.Unblocking sewage lines.
2.5.Take on other installation, repair, and maintenance duties as needed and legally permitted
2.6.Keeping all building gutters and gullies clean and clear of debris.
2.7.Respond to plumbing related requests.
2.8.Clean Storm water drains
2.9. Assist with general maintenance tasks (building maintenance, carpentry and housekeeping).

Minimum requirements
Education
• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Plumbing NTC Level Certificate.
• Driver’s License.

Experience and knowledge requirements
• 5 years plumbing experience since qualification
